| Dr. Fischer was born and raised on the island of Taiwan where his family served as missionaries. They planted three churches which are still in existence today. After returning to the U.S.A. to complete high school, Dr. Fischer was called by God to a ministry of restoration and healing during his senior year. He followed his call and deep passion for helping people connect to God during the most difficult and painful times of life by completing a B.S. in Psychology from Cedarville College, a M.A. in Psychology from Western Seminary, and a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from George Fox College. Dr. Fischer has over 20 years of counseling experience working with individuals, families, and couples. He served as the Director of the Counseling Center at Bethel College for 9 years. He also has extensive experience preaching, teaching, and providing training in the church. No stranger to leadership he has served on multiple Elder boards and successfully held senior level administrative positions at Christian colleges. He and Peggy were married in 1983 and have three children. They count each other as best friends and have provided numerous pre-marriage and marriage retreats. He loves to read, minister internationally, and to eat copious amounts of ice cream. He also believes he has a very shapely head. Ha!
